Exhibitors & Parents/Guardians: By signing the registration form, you acknowledge that you have and understand the rules of the Dade County Youth Fair as they are written.
All Attendees of the Fair: By attending this fair in any capacity your are in agreement that you will not hold the Dade County Youth Fair Board, Lockwood American Legion Hall, Sponsors of the Fair, nor any individuals involved in overseeing of this event responsible for accidents or loss. This pertains to animals, property and people.

General Rules & Regulations
Sub-Section One:
1) This show is open to all youth ages 21 and under as of 1/1/24. 2) Anyone 21 and under years old may enter as many animals as he/she wants as long as they are their owned and raised animals. 3) Entries for the Livestock Show will be accepted up to 1 hour prior to their show class. 4) Missouri requirements for exhibition of Livestock will be followed. **Clover Kids may show in the following categories; dogs, cats, rabbits and poultry.**
Sub-Section Two:
1) Each exhibitor shall be the owner of the animal, with the exception of exhibitors from organizations such as Good Samaritan Boys Ranch or Team Boys Ranch where ownership of the animal is not possible. If more that one animal is shown in the same class, another youth between the ages of 21 and under may show the other animal(s). 2) All animals are the responsibility of those who brought them. This means no one will be watching out for them except the owners handlers. 3) Please do not leave your animals unattended at any time. 4) You must remain in control of your animals at all times. Unruly, uncontrollable animals will bot be permitted in the ring and the entry fee will be forfeited for that animal. 5) Animals with visible infections, sores, abnormalities, illness, etc will be disqualified and prevented from showing at the species’ judge and/or Fair Board’s discretion
Sub-Section Three:
1) All judging will be done on the Danish System with a 3-2-1 relationship between blue, red and white awards. The judges are instructed not to place inferior exhibitors regardless of the number of entries. 2) Showmanship classes will be held in each species of Livestock. The divisions will be: Peewee (Ages 7 and under), Juniors (Ages 8-12), Intermediate (Ages 13-16), Senior (Ages 17-21) 3) Dress Code: T-shirts are accepted, if clean with no holes, stains, or offensive material as well as all show attire. 4) All decisions made by the judges and/or Fair Board are considered final.
Sub-Section Four:
This is an open show. This event is coordinated with the University of Missouri 4-H Youth Development Programs. Believing in the best interest of all youth exhibitors to maintain a reputation of integrity and to represent a wholesome and progressive image, all participants (adults and youth) must observe the following guidelines for conduct. 1) Participate fully in all sessions. 2) Show respect for property and facilities used during the activity. 3) Observe the established schedule. 4) Appropriate and courteous behavior is expected. Swearing and obscene gestures are not permitted. Smoking is discouraged. All other participants, guests, and visitors should be treated with respect and common courtesy. 5) No alcohol, stimulants, non-prescription drugs, fireworks or firearms allowed.
